House Final

Well...we are all moved in.  (kinda...) There are a few things we are waiting to get completed but all in all we are moved in.  Now the laborious task of unpacking and finding a home for all our stuff!  Unfortunately, I won't have a craft room for a while...it's studded in downstairs but not a priority on the list of home improvement projects!

Here is a final look at the way the kitchen, dining room turned out.    HOPEFULLY the next time I post it will be about Stampin' or Scrapping!

Crown and Hardware

The crown moulding went up and the hardware on the cabinets and I do have to say that I think it looks pretty awesome.  Our kitchen designer, Nancy, did a fabulous job in helping us!  We don't have all the pendant lights finished yet, but getting close.  All the ceiling fans are hung (7 of them!!) and our countertops are scheduled to be installed on Friday, along with our appliances hopefully too!

The laundry room has been transformed a bit too :)  I really like the closet we built to hid the utilities... We have plans to put cabinets in by the window with a countertop.

Quick Update on House

Ok...the past 2 weeks we've had some changes...my kitchen is finally starting to take shape!  They measured for countertops Friday so hopefully in the next 2 weeks we'll be close to finished!!

House Update

Its been a while but its not so exciting to take pictures if drywall!  We had a bit if a delay getting a plaster crew to the house.  But we are back on track!  Painting and flooring will begin next week...YAY!  Another really exciting piece of news is that we officially have the AC on!!  A nice cool 68 in the house....wish we had that back in July when it was 104!  Hopefully in the next couple of weeks are vision will become clear to everyone.

Raise the Roof boys!

Getting all Trussed up!! :)  I love seeing the progress being made on the house...it's comforting to know that there will be light at the end of this tunnel.  The guys will be putting shingles on tomorrow!!  yay!!! then hopefully windows and doors yet this week to get it all closed in once again!  Maybe the A/C can be turned back on??!!!  Man I hope so!

Walls!

Since last week the crew has been hard at work putting up the exterior walls, moving windows/doors, and closing in the new addition.  I think they will be starting on the trusses for the roof tomorrow!  So exciting to see everything transforming!  Inside (no pics) they have gotten all the new electrical and plumbing done and hung all the new drywall on the walls and ceiling.

Man is it HOT out!!  The guys have been working hard to keep progress moving...  the subfloor is complete...walls next!

Walls are going up!  and wow the back of the house is a mess! :)  Its a good thing!

This is our new addition with basement.  It will be the Master Suite...downstairs will be a Craft Room :) and a 1/2 bath and a small family room.




The back of the house is a mess because we've removed the old windows and then relocated the new ones to accomodate the new kitchen layout.

Poured walls

They poured the basement walls yesterday!   Bring on the concrete!

Construction has begun on the new/old house!

So for the past week the guys have been working hard to eliminate the carpets, walls, and cabinets ... its beginning to take shape to our vision! 
They started digging yesterday and started pouring the footings today for the new addition ...
